Update | Where Have I Been???
Hey y'all!!!
So I've been a little MIA the last month... I apologize! I have had A LOT of things going on which I'll discuss later, but I'm backkkkkk! So anyways, where have I been this last month???
WELL, I left home at the end of July. Why so early? We went on vacation to North Carolina so my parents thought that once vacation was over, they would just drop me off in South Carolina for good. So for the last few weeks of July, I was getting together all my stuff for school, running last minute errands, and visiting with people who I won't see for the next few months. The day we left was really hard, mostly because I knew I wasn't coming back to Jersey. But, as the day went on, it got better.
We went to Lake Lure, NC for our annual fam vacay. But to be honest, we are not lake people, or mountain people haha. It was very nice, and pretty, but we probably won't be going back to a lake... While we were there, we mostly relaxed outside, watching a ton of movies (there was no wifi), and we also visited the Biltmore House! And OMG THAT PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! I am like a hugeeee Downton Abbey fan and it was literally the American Downton Abbey. I was just completely in awe of the whole place. It was so beautiful!!! Here are a few pictures from the lake and Biltmore:
I was glad that I had the last week with my family but I was really upset when they left. To be honest its still kind of hard to talk about, I just miss them so much!! But a few days after they left, I went on another vacation with my friends! We went to Oak Island, NC and stayed there for a few days. We went to the beach and got totally burnt haha. One of the days we were there we went to Myrtle Beach, which was like an hour away. It was sooooooo hot and we parked really far away from the "strip". On our walk to the strip, we stopped and got henna tattoos. Currently, even though they are supposed to last for a month, is almost gone :( . Then we got lunch and did shopping. However, when we decided to walk back, we walked in along the water. It was nice until the very end when the sand literally was burning our feet :(((. Besides getting burnt, we all had the best time. It was soooooo much fun!!! Here are some pictures from that vacation:
Then three days after we got back from the beach, we moved in!!!!! We are currently staying in one of the apartment dorms on campus and its been really fun!! Move in day was rough though; it was sooooo hot and we are on the third floor. But its ok now, we're having the best time!! Heres a pic of my side of the room:
Today, as Im writing this, I have just finished an entire week of class. Its been so busy but I'm glad because it gives me something to do besides watch Netflix all day haha. Anyways, so thats where I've been! Hopefully, Ill get on a more concrete schedule and start posting things more frequently!
I hope you all enjoy your last few weeks of summer and if you have started, have a good semester!!

HUGE Planner Haul
Hey y'all!
Today's post is a planner haul!!! I'm like so excited for this because for this year, I really want an instagram-worthy planner haha. I spent weeks trying to decide if I wanted another Lilly Pulitzer agenda (I wrote a blog post on the one I had for last year which you can read here*!) or if I wanted to change it up a little and pick a different one. I decided to go a different route because even though I loved the Lilly one, it was just a little too big for me since I had the jumbo agenda.
So for this coming school year I pick the medium Ban.do agenda in Lady of Leisure. I really like this brand because their agendas and just overall products are just so cute and fun. The agendas are just as cute on the outside as they are on the inside! Plus they have little cute and uplifting sayings throughout the agenda so that just adds to it. I decided to get the medium because I definitely wanted something smaller than what I did have and I think that this is the perfect size! (Fun fact: I've already started decorating the insides of the planner, so instead of putting pictures up now, I'll do a monthly spread every month during the school year!)
Now for the haul part haha! I got so many planner accessories to create my insta-worthy planner that I'm so excited to use!
Stickers:
Ban.do Sticker Book:
Ban.do has two sticker books that you can get to go with your planners, so I picked the second sticker book because I thought it would go nicely with my planner. It has all different type of stickers, from letters, to shopping lists, to just more cute stickers! I've already used a lot of them because I got to excited haha.
Fun Chic Designs (Etsy):
I spent HOURS looking at stickers on Etsy and I finally picked two sets. This set is from a shop called Fun Chic Designs. They are all quotes from the TV show Friends which is like one of my favorite shows! These are so cute and I'm so excited to use them
Small Town Grace (Etsy):
This second set is from Small Town Grace! They are disney quotes from different movies. There is one from Frozen, Ariel, Cinderella, Up, Tangled, Peter Pan, Finding Nemo, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Mulan, Brave , The Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin! I just love Disney and these are perfect!
Washi Tape:
In totally I got 17 washi tape rolls (I have a problem, I must admit). I just kind of picked whichever I thought would go with my theme planner.Target:
From the dollar section I got these:
There is a black and white striped, gold chevron, black and white quarterfoil, pink anchor, blue stars, and a navy blue striped!
These where in the art/craft section, but they were still under a dollar:
There is a sliver glitter one, a multi-color stripe one, and a pale pink striped one!
Michaels:
From Micheals I got 5:
There is a pink poka dot one, a mint, pink and gold arrows, a gold arrows, a pink floral, and navy floraly pattern!
Hobby Lobby:
I got this set: plain grey and a grey chevron!
Sticky Notes & Notepads:
Flamingo Sticky Note Set:
This sticky note set is from the Target dollar section. I think I went a little crazy because I bought 3 of these haha. It has a sticky note pad with a pink flamingo on it. Then there are pink and green page flags with pineapples at the top!
Pineapple Notepad:
This is a pink pineapple notepad also from the Target dollar section! I just got because I thought it was cute haha. Plus it also matches the flamingo sticky note set.
Important Things Notepad:
This is also from the Target dollar section! It just says "Important Things" written in a hot pink with a white background. It also has the same hot pink at the top and is a mint green for the rest of it. It also is magnetic so you could stick it on your frig!
Sticky Note Pad & Page Flag Set:
This is just a sticky notepad what has "Thoughts" written at the top in brown with a pink background. It has matching page flags as well!
Set of 3 Planner Accessories:
This came as a set of three planner accessories. I thought the colors went well with the planner! The first think is just a plain note pad with a floral top. The next thing is stickers that have things like coffee break, work out, lunch time, etc on them. The last thing are page flags. There are two different sizes: one small and one larger. They all have the same color theme but different patterns!
I hope you enjoyed this haul! I might have gone a little crazy but you know what, thats okay lol! I can't wait to share the monthly spreads with you guys!!

Summer Reading List | "Cinder"
Hey y'all!
Today's installment of my "Summer Reading List" series is about "Cinder" by Marissa Meyers. This is the first book in a series called "The Lunar Chronicles". They are all about different fairytale stories but with a twist to them. For this book, Cinder is based on Cinderella! However, the twist is that she is a cyborg living in the future city of New Beijing :O
The book follows Cinder through her journey of finding out who she really is. She was adopted and doesn't remember life before becoming a cyborg. There is a deadly plague that has been ripping through the earth and Cinder is needed to help find a cure. She meets the handsome Prince Kai as well (and I mean, you all know what happens there, or what will happen, too).
There are many parallels between Cinder and Cinderella. She still has a stepmother and stepsisters, she meets the prince, and more. I really enjoyed this book though! It did take me a while to start reading it but I think that's because I was watching too much Netflix... haha! But it was sooooo good and if you like this type of fantasy, si-fi, stories then this is definitely the book for you! I do really want to finish the rest of the series, but probably will wait until I go back to South Carolina!
Hope you guys enjoyed! Be sure to check out my social media accounts on the right!

Summer Reading List | "After You"
Hey y'all!
This is my next installment of my "Summer Reading List" series! Today's book is "After You" by Jojo Moyes, which is the sequel to "Me Before You". Sometimes I don't like sequels of book series because I find them to be kind of boring (like the 2nd Harry Potter, I only read that one once and the rest of the series multiple times). However, this was totally different! I thought this was the perfect addition to the originial story. It wasn't boring, in fact, I spent one day just reading it because I literally could not stop reading!! WARNING: there may be spoliers so stop reading if you haven't read "Me Before You" or seen the movie!
"After You" tells the story of Louisa's life after what happens to Will. She is very lost after what happens. She figures out who to live without him throughout the book. She has an accident and meets a very important person who is related to Will. She then goes through an amazing journey to help this person (I won't tell you who or how). Its honestly just a perfect sequel.
I hope you guys read this one as well! I personally loved this story. It is definitely a tear jerker! To be honest, I cried while watching the trailer, then I cried for an hour after I finished "Me Before You", and then I cried while watching movie, and then I cried while reading this! Just make sure you have some tissues with you haha!
Thanks for reading! Be sure to follow me on my twitter, instagram and pinterest! Links are on the right!!

Summer Reading List | "Love, Rosie" Review
Hey y'all!!
Today is my very first book review for my Summer Reading List series! Sorry this was supposed to go up yesterday but there was a lot of things going on and I just finished the book today haha. The rest of the series will be going up every other Tuesday from now on!
This review is on the novel "Love, Rosie" by Cecelia Ahern! So a little backstory: if you guys read my "Me Before You" book review, then you would know that I found out about that book through the trailer of the movie that is coming out in June (so excited!!). So around that same time, I found out that the guy who plays Will, Sam Claflin, was also in this movie called Love, Rosie, which is based on this book! I actually watched the movie before reading the book so I kind of already knew some of the things that happens. But after watching the movie, I really wanted to read it!
This book is a story of a girl named Rosie and a boy named Alex. They have been best friends since kindergarten, which is where the story begins. It tells the story through letters between the all the characters. These letters take the reader through different parts of their lives, from moving to pregnancies to marriages and more. They still remain best friends through all the ups and downs of life. Its a story of best friends and a love story all in one. But I wont tell you anymore since it will just give it away ;)
Overall, I really did enjoy this book. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that it was told through letters so you do kind of miss some things that you wouldn't in a regular book. The letters do tell you what happened during these events but they don't feel like your actually there, if that makes sense. However, this book was still really fun to read and everyone who hasn't should read it!!!!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Be sure to check out my social medias on the right so you never miss a post!!!
Love, Kat
